Roast 10th Celebration Vintage Blanc de Blancs
What better way can there be to celebrate a decade of discoveries? For this landmark anniversary, Chapel Down have created this exquisite wine for Roast customers to enjoy. The hand-picked grapes from Chapel Down best vineyard on the North Kent Downs were whole-bunch pressed and only the cuvée was used. Ten percent of the blend was fermented and matured in French oak barrels which adds richness and complexity to the wine, with the balance fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel to retail aromatic delicacy.
Aromas of both fresh and baked apples are present on the nose. On the palate there is a depth and intensity of fruit, characteristic of Chardonnay having been grown on chalk. A minimum of four years on lees in bottle has given richness from autolysis which is beautifully balanced by the linear finish and fine mousse.
